The Lehigh Valley has an energy all its own. Can you
feel it? It’s an energy that transcends the traffic jams and
brings out the best we have to offer.

Just take a look at the myriad things to do in the Valley
– there’s truly something for everyone. Whether it’s taking
in a concert, a baseball game, a stage production, scoring
an early morning tee time or taking a scream-inducing
rollercoaster ride, this region has a lot going for it.

But where kids are concerned, the trick is channeling
their summer energy into one of those constructive things
and get them off the couch. Check out our story in this
issue for ideas on what to do when they say they’re bored.

That summertime energy carries through to nights of
grilling out on the deck or outdoor living room, and we
show you how to dress up those casual meals with yummy
recipes and drinks that look as great as they taste.

Or if you’d rather leave the cooking to others but
still want to sample the best the growing season has to
offer, our cover story takes a look at some of the farm-
to-table restaurants in the Valley and the importance
of supporting local farmers. For a behind-the-scenes
look at what went into our cover photo shoot at Bolete
restaurant, check out facebook.com/IndulgeLVMagazine
or IndulgeLVMagazine.com.

For your fashion fix, Indulge has you covered with a
question and answer with the new head designer of Oscar
de la Renta as he takes the fall collection on the road.

Speaking of taking new roads, we took a look at
the trends for luxury rides — the ultimate swanky way
to arrive in style.

Whatever way you choose to enjoy the summer,
let us know! You can email me directly at linda@
indulgelvmagazine.com. I’d love to hear from you. Have
fun out there.

Indulgently yours,
