Letter from the editor

RDeeaadr ers,

I hope you brought your appetite to this issue, because we’re proud to present our second annual Dining Out
in the Valley issue. Within these pages, you’ll find local chefs sharing their favorite dishes and wash them down
     with area bartenders’ favorite drinks.

Man Cave ventures out into the Valley to find sports bars and has some suggestions for where to have a meal
with friends and catch the game. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to run a restaurant, our newest Valley Girl
shares what kind of personality and attitude it takes to be a success.

Don’t forget to check out our Dining Out in the Valley Guide which suggests top-notch restaurants across the
     Valley for you to try.

Looking for something to do with the kids? Weekenders stayed local for this issue, detailing fun places to go
with the whole family. Or if festivals and concerts are more to your liking, check out the Arts & Culture calendar.

As summer winds down and fall kicks into high gear, we show you how to stay healthy in autumn and in the
coming winter months to keep the blues away. Put your best face forward with a cheat sheet to keep those dark
circles under the eyes at a minimum.

Looking ahead to the holiday season, we share what to keep in mind when giving a gift certificate for spa
services — detailing the different types of services available.

As the days get shorter and fall fun ramps up, let us know what you do to relax and get ready for the season.
