The Morning Call’s Homerun Inning
1. TO ENTER: No Purchase Necessary. You will be automatically entered if you attend any Lehigh Valley IronPigs home game. You may also enter by logging onto themorningcall.com starting Friday, April 11, 2008 and click on the Contest icon, and complete the registration form. Attending the game will not increase odds of winning. Only one entry per email address for each applicable IronPigs home game. Subsequent entries from the same email address will delete all earlier entries from that email address. Entrants must use their own name. E-mail entries containing attached files are not eligible and will be rejected. If any dispute arises concerning the identity of an entrant, the owner of the e-mail account from which entry was sent shall be deemed the entrant.
2. DEADLINE: Contest entries will be accepted starting April 11, 2008 and the Sweepstakes will run throughout the 2008 Lehigh Valley IronPigs season. After each home game, all entries received for that game will be discarded. Each home game requires re-entry. The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs are not responsible for lost, incomplete, damaged, illegible, late, postage due, or misdirected entries, or for errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties or inability to transmit Internet entries.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Prior to each IronPigs home game, a “home run inning” will be designated and all online entries received for that game and all IronPigs ticket holders for that game will be pooled together, and one Finalist shall be selected from among them in a random drawing conducted by Lehigh Valley IronPigs. If a Lehigh Valley IronPig hits a homerun during the pre-designated inning, the Finalist will win the Prize. Each Prize starts at $50 cash and increases by $10 for each home game in which an IronPig does not hit a home run in that game’s designated inning. When a Lehigh Valley IronPig hits a homerun during the pre-designated inning of any home game, the chosen Finalist will win the Prize. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received for each home game. The Winners will be notified by telephone and/or mail within five (5) days of winning. If a selected Winner is ineligible, or if the Sponsors are unable to make contact with the Winner after reasonable effort and time, the prize shall be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner selected by a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
4. AWARDING & DELIVERY OF PRIZES: One Winner will receive the corresponding cash prize if a home run is hit during the pre-designated inning. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Any prize returned because of an incorrect mailing address will be forfeited. To claim the prize, the Winner must go to Fan Services at the Lehigh Valley IronPigs game or go to The Morning Call at 101 North Sixth Street in Allentown PA. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs are not responsible for prize delivery delays for any reason. All decisions regarding interpretation of these Official Rules and administration of the Contest made by The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs are final and binding.
5. ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be fourteen (14) years of age or older, a US citizen or legal resident to win. Winner must provide proof of age, identity, and residency. Employees and immediate family members of The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs or their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agencies are not eligible to win. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
6. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
a. Use of Winner's name: By entering, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation, to the Contest Entities, and their agents and licensees, to use the entrant's name, address, email address, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material marketing and promotional purposes for any reason.
b. Execution of Affidavit and Release: By entering, each entrant agrees that if selected as the Winner, he/she may be required to sign a release and waiver of liability. The prize may be forfeited and awarded to another entrant if the Winner does not execute the prepared form of release and waiver within the stated timeframe of the contest, or if the selected Winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules.
c. Release of Liability: By entering, entrants agree to release The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs, their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agencies from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the contest or their receipt or use of the contest prize.
d. No Prize Substitutions: No substitute prizes are available; however, The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs may, at their discretion, substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
e. Governing Law: This contest shall be governed and enforced pursuant to Pennsylvania law, excluding choice of law provisions.
7. INTERNET: If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the contest, The Morning Call, themorningcall.com and Lehigh Valley IronPigs reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the contest or any portion of the contest. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE CONTEST. Information submitted in entries, including entrant's name, address, e-mail address, etc., may be used by LIST CONTEST HOLDERS for marketing or promotional purposes.
